PRAYER

God's Spirit is right along side helping us along. If we don't know how or what to pray, it doesn't matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves...and keeps us present before God. That's why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good. Romans 8:26-28

PRAISE

Your thoughts--how rare, how beautiful, God, I'll never comprehend them! I couldn't even begin to count them any more than I could count the sand of the sea. Oh, let me rise in the morning and live always with you! Psalm 139:17-18

HOPE

You don't have to wait for the End. I am, right now,
Resurrection and Life.The one who believes in me,
even though he or she dies, will live. And everyone
who lives believing in me does not ultimately die at all.
John 11:25-26

JOY

After the Sabbath, as the first light of the new week dawned, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to keep vigil at the tomb. Suddenly the earth reeled and rocked under their feet as God's angel came down from heaven, came right up to where they were standing. He rolled back the stone and then sat on it. Shafts of light blazed from him. His garments shimmered snow-white. The angel spoke to the women: "There is nothing to fear here. I know you're looking for Jesus, the one they nailed to the cross. He is not here. He was raised just as he said." Matthew 28:1-3, 5-6

GIVING

The world of the generous gets larger and larger...The one who blesses others is abundantly blessed; those who help others are helped. Proverbs 11:24-25

Purpose

What a beautiful thing, God to give thanks,

to sing an anthem to you, the High God!

To announce your love each daybreak,

sing your faithful presence all through

the night. Psalm 92:1-2

LOVE

Live out your God-created identity. Live generously and graciously toward others, the way God lives toward you. Matthew 5:48

BLESSING

You're blessed when you care. At the moment of being "careful," you find yourselves cared for. Your blessed when you get your inside world--your mind and heart- put right. Then you can see God in the outside world. Matthew 5: 7-8

PROMISES

God promises to love me all day, sing songs all through the night! My life is God's prayer. Psalm 42:8

PROMISE

COMFORT

I look behind me and you're there, then up ahead and you're there too--Your reassuring presence, coming and going. This is too much, too wonderful--I can't take it all in! Psalm 139:5-6

LOVE

So, Chosen by God for this new life of love, dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline...Forgive as quickly and completely as the Master forgave you. And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It's your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it. Colossians 3:12-14

PROTECTION

I call to God because I'm sure of an answer. Hide me under your cool wing feathers. Psalm 17:6,8

PRAYER

Ask and you'll get. Seek and you'll find. Knock and the door will open. Don't bargain with God. Be direct. Ask for what you need. Luke 11:9,10

PRAISE

Our God is great with limitless strength, we'll never comprehend what he knows and does...Sing to God a thanksgiving hymn, play music on your instruments to God. Psalm 147:5,7

Trust

Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don't get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes. Matthew 6; 3,4

REST

I want you woven into a tapestry of love, in touch with everything there is to know of God. Then you will have minds confident and at rest, focused on Christ, God's great mystery. Colossians 2:2

Your Calling

I ask the God of our Master, Jesus Christ, the God of glory--to make you intelligent and discerning in knowing him personally, your eyes focused and clear, so that you can see exactly what it is he is calling you to do, grasp the immensity of this glorious way of of life he has for Christians, oh, the utter extravagance of his work in us who trust him--endless energy, boundless strength!

Ephesians 1:17-19

PRAYER

The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know. Pray especially for rulers and their governments to rule well so we can be quietly about our business of living simply, in humble contemplation. This is the way our Saviour, God wants us to live . I Timothy 2:1-3

PRAYER

There's far more to life for us. We're citizens of high heaven! We're waiting for the arrival of the Saviour, the Master, Jesus Christ, who will transform our earthly bodies like his own. He'll make us beautiful and whole with the same powerful skill by which he is putting everything as it should be, under and around him. Philippians 2:20-21
